Change Management Consultant Responsibilities: Change Management Consultant to assist with the Organizational Change Management (OCM) and user readiness activities for PeopleSoft implementation projects under Business Process Systems Integration (BPSI) program. The role of the Change Management Consultant is to develop strategies for effecting change, controlling change and helping adoption to change for their assigned projects. They will also have hands-on planning and execution of OCM activities including, but not limited to, sponsor & stakeholder engagement, change impact analysis, communications, learning support, and resistance management. This resource will receive direction from the BPSI Program Change Manager to ensure alignment with the overall program activities and direction. Drive planning, execution and tracking related to project level change strategies that support the organization’s vision and goals for the outcome of assigned projects. Collaborate with internal Communication department to create a detailed communication plan that will deliver a unified communication approach to inform stakeholders across the Council to include messaging, audiences, channels and schedule. Establish and manage a network of change champions/advocates who can help build desire for change by providing support, answering questions and promoting enthusiasm to extend the reaches of the project into stakeholder environments. Identify metrics to measure the success of the change and create a plan to track progress. Establishment of metrics and to track the effectiveness of the change and its long-term sustainability. Develop “get-to-green” plans to bring readiness back on track when needed, conducting readiness checks throughout life cycle. Consulting on training design, development and delivery to ensure the employees acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. Develop and execute a sustainability plan to ensure that the changes are embedded and sustained over time, ensuring that they become part of the organization's culture. Conduct a post-implementation review to assess the success of the change initiative, gather feedback, and identify lessons learned.

Requirements of the role:

  • Ability to conduct stakeholder analysis to include a report identifying key stakeholders, their level of awareness, and strategies to engage and communicate with them working with Project Steering Team.

  • Skilled at identifying change impacts by role and stakeholder groups through current state assessments that will include identification and evaluation of what is going to change and the success factors for the changes.

  • Skilled at creating and executing change strategies enterprise wide and ensuring minimized resistance and positive individual behavior change. Identifying potential sources of resistance, developing strategies to mitigate resistance, and identifying resources to address resistance.

  • Grounded in results-based approaches and utilizing stakeholder readiness assessment data to engage impacted audiences (leadership to front-line) related to both processes and technical systems involved in the projects.

  • Effective at building sponsorship coalitions which result in shaping and sustaining stakeholder behavior.

  • Strong communicator across organizational levels utilizing a variety of communication to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that concisely convey a clear understanding of the message to different audiences.

Additional Skills:

  • Skilled in Prosci Change Management model using the ADKAR framework or a comparable process.

  • Experienced with very complex change situations in a matrixed environment, with multiple workstreams.

  • Demonstrated experience working with large PeopleSoft or other Enterprise Resource Planning projects.

  • Build strong customer relationships and delivery of customer-centric solutions. Anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.

  • Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that concisely convey a clear understanding of the message to different audiences.

  • Ability to handle conflict situations effectively with a minimum of noise.

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams embracing change with a “people first” approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex organizations through change.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships with all levels of the enterprise.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize human outcomes, including development of soft skills, instilling organizational values/norms and building safe space for a healthy challenge culture to develop.

  • Skill to be self-aware, accept, act on, and provide constructive feedback.

  • Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining project documentation, including writing change strategies, communication plans, training plans, risk assessments, status reports and all other required program/ project documentation.
