Salary Range: $57,000 to $67,000
The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
JOB SUMMARY
The Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator assists the Head Football Coach with management of the football program. Emphasis will be placed on recruitment, mentoring student athletes, and assisting with practices to include planning and skill development. The Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator assists the Head Football Coach in representation of the football program at intercollegiate athletics, alumni, University, booster club, and fundraising events as needed. This position is required to work evenings and weekends and will require travel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Student-Athlete Skill Development, Technique and Mentorship
Develop the offensive lineman athletically and mentally so that they can maximize their potential as players. In addition, be an active participant in their development off the field. This includes, but is not limited to academically, emotionally, and socially.
Recruiting
Evaluate, rank, and recruit local, regional, national, and international offensive lineman. Evaluate and recruit all position players within your assigned recruiting areas. Establish and cultivate relationships with high school and junior college coaches in your recruiting areas. Participate in the execution of unofficial and official recruiting visits.
Practice, Game Planning and Game Strategy
Assist the offensive coordinator in practice preparation with the organization of offensive line drills, player reps and player rotations. Evaluate the opponent’s defensive front personnel and run game schemes. Make recommendation to the offensive coordinator on the most effective way to attack the opponent in the run game.
Administrative
Assist the Head Football Coach by attending intercollegiate athletics, alumni, university, booster club and fundraising events. Work with the Sports Information Director to participate in approved media requests. Assist the Head Football Coach with the planning and execution of the Career Development Program.
Other Duties as Assigned
Assist and/or complete other duties that may be assigned by the VP and Director of Athletics, Football Sport Administrator or Head Football Coach.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Five years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of NCAA compliance rules and regulations
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted. A DMV background check is required for this position.
