*This position has a flexible work arrangement that may allow for Telework (https://dhs.intranet.mn.gov/buildings-facilities/hybrid-telework/telework/index.jsp) or a mixture of working in our office and Telework (https://dhs.intranet.mn.gov/buildings-facilities/hybrid-telework/telework/index.jsp) .

This position exists to manage Medicaid program integrity audits and investigations, contractors performing work on behalf of the Program Integrity Oversight Division (PIO) and manage audits or reviews of PIO’s work by outside entities.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership experience*

*Leadership experience can include:

  • Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead;

  • Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);

  • A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include:

Five (5) years of experience providing strategic direction to a work unit.

Experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Awareness of government program integrity activities to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse.

  • Awareness of Department of Human Services programs and services.

  • Evidence of effectively leading teams.

  • Evidence of building strong working relationships with a variety of partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A thorough working knowledge of Medical Assistance, Minnesota’s Medicaid program.

  • A thorough working knowledge of managed care organizations and their participation in Minnesota Health Care Programs.

  • A thorough working knowledge of the Minnesota Restricted Recipient Program.

  • A thorough working knowledge of the state’s Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) and Universal Program Integrity Contractor (UPIC).

  • A thorough working knowledge of Medicaid provider audits and investigations methods and procedures.

  • Knowledge of regulatory aspects of state and federal policies to Minnesota Health Care Programs and the public benefit programs administered by Department of Human Services (DHS).

  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership that inspires a team effort toward accomplishing division goals and objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated cultural competency skills.

  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
