MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

As The IT Director of Manufacturing Executions Systems and Quality, you will be responsible for leading the overall Global Manufacturing Execution Systems deployment efforts and MES support function across Abbott Nutrition. The candidate will manage a team which includes managers, individual contributors and related delivery activities that require interaction between the business and IT. The candidate will lead and influence the direction of the domain and provide coaching and mentoring to enable a high performing team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•Plan, develop and direct the operation of information technology systems.

•Plan and coordinate all investigations, feasibility studies and surveys of proposed and existing information systems and machine applications.

•Guide the selection, installation and use of computing equipment and software.

•Maintain current knowledge of equipment, systems and programming techniques appropriate to the organization.

•Participate in the training of key management with data processing techniques.

•Set policies, procedures, technical standards, methods, and priorities.

•Control and recommend budgets.

•Manage communication and negotiation with suppliers to obtain required solution design and sizing (hours effort). Reviews and approves infrastructure, software related project costs.

•Directs maintenance work and quality control to ensure the efficient and timely operation of the information technology function.

•Identifies and structures their organization to align to the current and anticipated future strategy of domain

•Control the selection, development and training of information technology professionals and other staff and monitor their performance.

•Responsible for evaluating performance of organization against defined metrics and implementing process improvements as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar

Experience leading projects within the Manufacturing Execution System Domain.

Working knowledge of manufacturing terminology and common metrics used across operations and supply chain.

Demonstrated experience working with onshore and offshore technology teams in support of global program deployments.

The base pay for this position is $143,300.00 – $286,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
