Terracon has an immediate opening for managing Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, soil vapor assessments, and remedial actions on behalf of our diverse client base. While the position entails primarily managing subsurface investigations, conducting Phase I ESAs is also part of the job. Work with a team of professional experts in our environmental department and work on dynamic projects collaboratively with colleagues and clients to ensure work is executed on time and within budget. You will join a team and help us identify, develop, win, and execute project opportunities while building and maintaining client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Scope and manage Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs and other subsurface investigations to evaluate soil, groundwater and soil vapor. Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project. This may include developing project schedules, budget estimation, selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing the project. Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan. Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Coordinate and direct field personnel, office staff, and subcontractors to complete the project. Partner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the project. Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate with other staff to meet project targets and milestones. Coordinate with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections. Required Skills: Ability to independently analyze and interpret analytical data, technical reports, technical guidance documents, and governmental regulations pertaining to environmental contamination. Strong technical writings skills including written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manual. Ability to effectively present information verbally and respond to questions from managers and clients. Demonstrate strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or environmental engineering work. Experience managing projects that include field data collection, investigation, and construction/remediation. OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper and current annual refresher. Bachelor's degree or higher in technical discipline practices including Geology, Engineering or Environmental Science. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving history.
