Conduct research including the collection of information and samples for food safety and quality programs, hazard analysis and sanitation processes. Use computers and computer-interfaced equipment to study plant environment, raw materials, finished product. Use computers, computer-interfaced equipment or high-technology industrial applications to perform work duties. Set up, adjust, calibrate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment. Clean, maintain, and prepare supplies in work areas. Monitor work to ensure compliance with set standards. Conduct standardized biological, microbiological, or biochemical tests to evaluate the quality of products. Work with senior research team/managers on possible mock recalls and third-party audit planning. Position requires domestic travel up to 5% as needed and customary for the occupation.
