Welder (Robotic Cell Attendant)

Job Description:

· Welding large parts for a Manufacturing facility in a robotic cell area.

· Will work alongside robots that assist with welding.

· Removing flashing and excess metal from casting, evacuating defects, welding defects, and grinding multiple parts of the casting.

· Additional tasks involve grinding and chipping welds, parting lines, and positive metal from multiple areas of the casting.

· Welders run gauges as necessary on all parts of the casting, inspect castings for visual defects, and record information to the casting via SAP.

· Prepare and finish castings for the robotic cell and review castings post-robotic cell for defects that need to be repaired.

Tool and Equipment Used:

Plasma torch machine, natural gas/oxygen torch, carbon arc gouging rods and machine, welding machine, welding jack, welding shield or curtains, air/electric surface grinders, air/electric cone grinders, air powered chipping hammers, chisels, drifts, air/electric hoists, castings manipulators, shovel, broom, wheelbarrow, adjustable wrench, electric conveyors, forklift, overhead crane, de-slagging hammer, wire brush, miscellaneous handheld tools, gauges, shims, etc.

Pay: $27.30/hr

Shift:

· 2nd shift, 4:30pm – 2:30am Monday – Thursday

· Train on 1st shift for a couple weeks, 6am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday
