Job Description

DAY SHIFT

At Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., we are offering a unique opportunity as a Formulation Technician I in St. Louis. As part of our world-class manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in helping us manufacture Commercial and Clinical Biologics, making a real-world impact by contributing to finding cures for cancer, protecting the environment, and ensuring the safety of our food.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning of manufacturing suites to maintain a flawless environment

• Assist with the delivery of raw materials and consumables to the manufacturing suites for uninterrupted operations

• Ensure timely movement of lines, kits, and assemblies to meet processing needs and prevent delays

• Confirm availability of formulations and ensure their movement to the manufacturing suites for production processing needs

• Support ancillary tasks on the manufacturing floor such as fit and finish, material stock/supply, and equipment staging

• Actively participate in shift exchanges, meetings, and other lean activities to facilitate area needs based on changes

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent required

• Knowledge of cGMP practices seen as a plus

Abilities:

• Able to read, write, and communicate in English

• Able to understand and carry out instructions

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Be willing to wear a full gowning suit which includes: bodysuit, gloves, hair & beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses. (These items are prohibited: makeup, jewelry, nail polish, cologne / perfume, scented lotions or hair care products, etc.)

• Able to adhere to clean room gowning requirements, including wearing Tyvek, Nitrile, and/or Latex gloves

• Ability to lift minimum of 25 lbs independently

• Ability to stand for 80% of shift
