Tool & Die Maker Job description:

About us:

We are a contract manufacturer of metal stampings, wire forms, and welded assemblies that has been in business for over 90 years.

Job Summary:

  • Repair existing, and build new fixtures, jigs, dies or gages. Must be able to

troubleshoot tooling while working in conjunction in a team environment

Position includes but not limited to:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications

  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished

products

  • Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines,

and grinders

  • Build, repair, and maintain tooling and dies for production processes

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes

and designs

  • Previous machine shop/job shop experience is required

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Technical degree or certification preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • 3+ years’ of experience working in a tool fabrication environment as a tool maker

  • Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings

  • Able to work independently and with other machinists and engineers

  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers,

calipers, and gauges

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Machining and working with mills, lathes, grinders, polishers, sanders, and working with a variety of hand tools is required

Job Type: Full-time and onsite

Shift: 1st shift 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Salary: $28.25 - $33.50 per hour

Pay Details: $58,240.00 to $69,680.00 per year
