Your Impact at SAM
As a Geomatics Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase project efficiency and client satisfaction by:
Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance
Preparing survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions and alignment drawings
Performing quality control checks of plats, drawings and deliverables prepared by other technicians
Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met
What You Bring to SAM
5+ years field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, DTM projects, and construction layout and data processing
Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D required; MicroStation is a plus
Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
Familiarity with GIS platforms is a plus however it is not necessary
