Description

As the Senior Director – Datacenter Business Development, you will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of our datacenter solutions portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, expand market presence, and establish broader relationships across the key end-users – datacenter operators, facility maintenance managers, hyperscale decision makers, etc. Leveraging your deep understanding of the datacenter industry and market trends, you will identify new business opportunities, cultivate strategic partnerships, and drive the development of innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion for datacenter services.

  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends and develop strategies to capitalize on them effectively.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including technology vendors, channel partners, and industry organizations.

  • Engage cross-functional teams to develop innovative datacenter solutions tailored to meet the unique requirements of the industry.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to develop compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies.

  • Drive the development of marketing collateral, sales presentations, and other materials to support business development efforts.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience with a proven track record of success in driving business development initiatives within the datacenter industry.

  • Deep understanding of datacenter technologies, services, and market dynamics.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

  • Highly organized and meticulous, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, develop business cases, and drive revenue growth.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and initiative.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP) and industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, CDCP) are a plus.

About Our Location

Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
