Position Summary

As the Safety Manager for the Nestlé Purina Support Center, you will be responsible for fostering a caring safety culture that values and respects the well-being of each individual contributor in this innovative manufacturing and fabrication environment. You will develop, lead and continuously evaluate and improve safety objectives and goals. You will actively engage and collaborate with all levels of the organization to ensure that employees have the training, resources and support to work safely. You will champion all safety policies and procedures and lead facility-wide safety meetings, teams and functional training.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop safety, health and environmental programs, systems and processes to establish clear expectations and procedures

  • Drive effective and sustainable implementation of corporate, division and local initiatives via hands-on leadership, dynamic instruction and teamwork

  • Manage compliance with internal and external safety and environmental requirements and study data and trends to implement impactful strategies and campaigns

  • Organize, coordinate, train and coach the Support Center team on behavioral safety as well as health and environmental standards and programs

  • Lead risk assessments and risk prediction processes to identify and mitigate workplace hazards

  • Direct environmental and energy initiatives at the Support Center through monitoring, analysis, identification and implementation of programs and projects aimed at continuous improvement of resource utilization and reduction of waste and energy costs

  • Utilize Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) principles, resources, systems and processes to enhance performance

  • Ensure effective injury case management process is fully implemented, understood and functioning optimally

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of professional safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment and 2+ years of relevant leadership experience

OR

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent with 7+ years of professional safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment and 2+ years of relevant leadership experience

The approximate pay range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
