BUNZL Project Manager (Distribution) in St. Louis, Missouri

Description

Project Managers will be responsible for leading and overseeing project management activities within the organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring successful project execution and delivery, aligning projects with strategic business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, budget, and potential risks.

  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project tasks are assigned and completed on time. Monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed.

  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring clear communication among team members. Provide guidance and direction to team members throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project success. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential problems.

  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Implement quality control processes and conduct regular reviews to verify compliance.

  • Monitor project budgets and expenses to ensure projects are delivered within the allocated financial resources. Report on budget status to stakeholders regularly.

  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, team members, and clients, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any changes to scope or timelines.

  • Assess and manage project scope changes. Evaluate the potential impact of changes and communicate adjustments to the project plan to all relevant parties.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, including status updates, key performance indicators (KPIs), and project metrics to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Ensure proper project closure, including documentation, handover, and final sign-off.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a project manager or in a PMO role, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

  • 2-3 years of Project Management experience.
