Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $116,500.00 - $139,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job
Financial Advisors, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional client service. This role will focus on recruitment, coaching, business development, and compliance to align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements. The Sales Manager role requires a strategic leader with deep industry knowledge, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Essential Functions
Recruit, train, and mentor financial advisors to enhance their productivity and client engagement
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals for advisory services and brokerage products
Build and maintain strong relationships with Bank clients, identifying opportunities to cross-sell investment products and deepen wallet share
Collaborate with Bank leadership to align sales efforts with organizational objectives and market opportunities
Ensure team adherence to FINRA, SEC, and internal compliance policies, conducting regular reviews and training as needed
Analyze sales data and prepare reports to present to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
Represent Commerce Financial Advisors in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and attract new business
Lead, mentor and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs
Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required
Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members effectively
Support budget management, planning and expenditure
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Strong understanding of advisory business development, with a focus on growing fee-based advisory accounts and client portfolios
Strong understanding of investment products, market dynamics, and banking operations
Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage high-performing teams in a regulated environment
Excellent negotiation skills
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems
Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business
Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Advance level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
6+ years sales experience within financial services required
3+ years leadership/supervisory experience within a broker-dealer or wealth management environment required
FINRA Series 7 & 63/65 or 66 licenses required at time of hire
FINRA Series 24, or the ability to obtain within 9 months of hire, required

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $116,500 to $139,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
