Summary : Provides general nursing care to clients in a behaviroal health care clinic by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with scope of practice. Explains treatments to client to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension. Review clients charts/ records/obeserve significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or provider of clients's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs and record them in medical records. Report vital sighns that are out of range to the provider. Respond to clients call inquiring about medications or other medical inquiries Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. Other duties as assigned by Nursing supervisor. Education and/or Experience : Accredited college or university nursing program degree with an unencumbered license in Missouri.
