Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a new IT Department Manager in our ELMA (Event Management, Log Management, Monitoring, and Alerting) team. The ELMA team is responsible for providing end-to-end event logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities that deliver holistic visibility into the state, health, and efficiency of Enterprise Mobility solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Transformational & Inspirational Leadership – Establishing the vision and inspiration for a team of highly passionate and skilled professionals to foster a culture of collaboration, execution, ownership, and accountability necessary to support the company’s entrepreneurial and agile spirit. Development of our leadership team to create an environment of growth, advancement, and opportunities for all team members.

  • Consulting, Designing & Engineering – Support the IT organization by providing the necessary collaboration, technical design, and disciplined engineering to ensure standardized ELMA capabilities that align to the guidance of the Office of Architecture, Enterprise and Solution architecture, and industry best practices.

  • Capability Delivery & Optimization - Implement technologies that deliver the ELMA capabilities necessary to support the organization’s needs. Drive a culture of change, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • The IT Department Manager typically requires 8+ years of related IT experience

  • Proven success developing high performing teams through executing responsibilities including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, and performance and salary reviews.

  • Experience leading Monitoring & Observability teams in a complex on prem and multi-cloudenvironment.

  • Experience leading and developing other leaders or managers within your team

  • Proven success championing the strategic direction of multiple teams including the ability to articulate a clear, concise strategic vision and direction of the company.

  • Experience implementing monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.

  • Experience with third party vendor RFPs and contract negotiations.

  • Experience in designing, developing, deploying cloud-based infrastructure solutions which leverage cloud native platforms in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience successfully leading teams through transformation.

  • Demonstrated ability to think tactically and strategically, collaborate effectively, communicate directly, and achieve results.

  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage operations while driving and implementing tactical and strategic change.

  • Superb relationship management skills, specifically related to building trust and leading change with the ability to create a non-adversarial atmosphere and be viewed as a partner.

  • Commitment to protecting our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions; ensures security policy and procedure requirements are met; continuously identifies opportunities for improvements and implements strategies to advance our security posture.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in Application Development technologies and processes.

  • Provide leadership in establishing and implementing standards, guidelines and best practices for the development, deployment, and support of technical solutions.

  • Lead high-quality execution of transformational process improvement initiatives.

  • Apply personal best practices in staying current with technology trends.
