What you`ll do

Summary

Production Services enables SAP to deploy resilient products through simple and innovative services. For our customers and we

• provide Assembly Services to transform code into software packages that are deployable by lifecycle management tools (ABAP and non-ABAP Assembly)

• perform Software Lifecycle Validation that ensures that our customers can smoothly implement new developments by qualifying installation, upgrade, and patching procedures.

• provision software packages via the official shipment channels

• setup E2E Continuous Delivery pipelines as an initial step and offer an ongoing service of pipeline operations and monitoring.

• apply the principles of Chaos Engineering to detect systemic issues regarding resilience and fault tolerance of a container-based system.

The Role

In our complex environments its crucial to work in very close cooperation with other development teams, Quality Management and infrastructure teams all over SAP and across locations.

Your technical affinity and interest will get satisfied by driving the resolution of complex topics in a technical environment.

As a Senior/Expert Developer (f/m/d), you will drive with your teammates and other teams globally process adaptations and tool improvements including architectural aspects.

Depending on your interests and experience you will also be able to contribute to innovation projects in our department across our units.

You will take over the lead to drive technical solutions.

You are known for your methodical and independent working mode always aiming for collaboration with your colleagues. Your high sense of responsibility and reliability is another key success factor you are going for.

You are enthusiastic about solving complex topics and you are curious and willing to keep expanding your skills. If this applies to you, you will fit perfectly into the team.

Further requirements are:

• Very good programming skills, with excellent knowledge of at least 1 language (e.g. ABAP, Python, Ansible, Java)

• Technical educational background in computer science, engineering, natural science, or related subject

• Strong analytical thinking

• Willingness to take over larger technical responsibility

• Flexibility to adopt processes according to changing requirements

• High customer orientation

• Very good communication skills in English, German is a big plus

• 5 years ofprofessional experience
