What are your contributions to the team?

  • Lead a team of program managers who manage Aerostructures projects.

  • Manage overall budget including direct labor and vendor costs.

  • Manage strategic planning, reporting, visibility governance, organization, business management, direction, control, and leadership for all phases of the project.

  • Lead the integration and harmonization of all aspects of the projects including the technical, operational, supplier and program objectives.

  • Lead the integration and harmonization of project plans, project schedules / milestones and risk management ensuring alignment and deliverables support project objectives, schedules / milestones, commitments, and requirements and provide visibility to teams, functions, suppliers, and management;

  • Participate in program supplier reviews providing support and visibility to the teams, suppliers, internal customers, and management.

  • Assist with the preparation of the annual product plan to define key strategic issues and objectives and in developing specific initiatives in support of those objectives;

  • Lead the strategic portfolio Budget & Governance team;

  • Develop, plan and lead the governance framework for the programs senior leadership team while providing visibility on the progress of the projects, roadblocks and recommendations;

  • Lead the budget planning team responsible for the preparation and consolidation of the operational strategic portfolio budget;

  • Develop and control all departmental budget for resource loading, Strat plan, budget submission/revision and other external cost.

  • Coordinate and lead activities as necessary closely with Finance, Engineering, industrialization, supply chain, and any other costs/budget activities under the responsibility of Programs.

  • Maintain a Risk and Opportunities register.

  • Be responsible for the employee performance management program (PMP) completion and employee communications;

  • Support the employees to reach their business and professional development goals.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have ten (10) years of program/project/portfolio and people management experience within the aviation or a related industry.

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline

  • You have advanced knowledge of program / project scheduling as well as business and product change management;

  • You have experience in strategic planning and you have a flexible mindset.

  • You have strong leadership skills with an ability to mobilize and foster an environment of teamwork within cross-functional teams facilitating discussions and resolving issues to meet all program objectives;

  • You have thorough knowledge of functional responsibilities and internal processes of groups supporting new program development and business processes.

  • You are pro-active, results orientated and innovative with a view for business improvement;

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus without formal authority;

  • You are able to work independently as well as within teams in a fast-paced environment with an ability to prioritize multiple personal and program level work assignments simultaneously to meet performance targets;

  • You can communicate in English and French (written & spoken).
