Boehringer Ingelheim Field Engineer - Electrical in St. Joseph, Missouri

Description

Aids in data gathering, design, estimating, proposal and implementation of electrical and electronic projects. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs all facilities electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery, including, but not limited to equipment, security, communications and alarm systems.Light Work (Level 2) - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.As an employee of Boehringer Ingelheim, you will actively contribute to the discovery, development and delivery of our products to our patients and customers. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists with supervisory, leadership and administrative duties as assigned including CMMS utilization and associated SOP requirements.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and ladder logic.Uses frequently as a troubleshooting reference tool.Ability to update as required for change control and accuracy.

  • Assist with electrical design, estimating, proposals and implementation of projects and equipment modifications within the electrical and engineering groups

  • Work within cGMP manufacturing and safety procedural guidelines.Knows National Electric Code interpretation and application to systems and projects

  • Install security systems, troubleshoot and correct electrical and electronic malfunctions of such systems. Install, maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation devices.

  • Perform preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance activities relative to electrical and electronic equipment to maintain equipment and infrastructure reliability.

  • Install telephone wiring circuits.Install Category 5 LAN wiring circuits, troubleshoot communications wiring circuits.

  • Install and troubleshoot PLC communications hardware and wiring circuits. Install, maintain and troubleshoot BMS hardware devices and cabling.

  • Ensure installations meet all OSHA, NFPA, and COFIPP Guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required.

  • National Joint Apprenticeship Training - Journeyman Electrician License required.

  • Five to ten (5-10) years experience in industrial electrical construction or facilities maintenance or equivalent educational background required.

  • Supervisory or crew/job project leadership experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA standards. Experience in the Bio-pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Eligibility Requirements:
