Intermountain Health Claims Production Manager in St George, Utah

Job Description:

Our Claims Production Manager leads a team of highly engaged caregivers who are focused on lowering the cost of healthcare and improving the patient billing experience through accurate and efficient professional claims management. This position is responsible for all operational and managerial aspects of the team. They work with clinical and operational leadership, providers, clinical staff, and billing colleagues to meet goals and initiatives and improve processes and outcomes.

Provides leadership, strategy, and direction, and manages day-to-day system-wide claims production processes for assigned specialties.

Manages team budget and performs typical human resources related responsibilities pertaining to direct reports.

Monitors and provides training to resolve gaps in Claims Management Team members’ skills and knowledgebase as a member of the professional claims management Training and Quality Assurance Team.

Physical Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a business or healthcare-related field. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

Or equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement

Leadership experience

CPT and ICD coding, professional claims management, payer knowledge, and clinic operations experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

Five years of experience in areas of clinic operations, professional billing, edits, or denials management operations.

CPC or CPMA coding certification, or equivalent.

Training in continuous improvement theory and application.

Physical Requirements

Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.

Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

See and read computer monitors and documents.

Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$28.72 - $44.32
