Overview

The State Of Vermont Department Of Corrections is looking for a Facility Food Service Supervisor to work at Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield, VT. You\'ll have supervision of incarcerated individuals facilitating daily large scale food preparations for 300 bed facility.

\ In this role, you will also be providing food production training to offenders including institutional cooking, baking and serving as well as ensuring sanitation standards are maintained in all areas of the kitchen and the offenders are supervised while preparing food according to all quality and sanitary regulations.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a correctional facility kitchen during an assigned shift. Incumbents must be able to operate cutters and slicers, handle knives, lift weights of up to 60 lbs., and work under conditions of high heat and humidity. Duties include supervision of inmates in work situations.
