The Principle SharePoint Developer will provide strong technical experience in front-end SharePoint development with a focus on building SharePoint solutions comprising business process custom workflows, forms, dashboards, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Convert business processes into SharePoint workflows

• Interface with Project Managers following System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) best practices, including task level-of-effort estimation

• Interface with Quality Assurance and Testing personnel on built solutions.

• Act as sole technical expert in SharePoint for the NGA Operations Center (NOC), and provide direct mission support to the Technical Executive via technical recommendations and hands-on delivery of SharePoint products

• Lead all SharePoint development and implementation efforts for the NOC, and is fully and singularly accountable for the accuracy and responsiveness of the NOC’s SharePoint site

• Perform the role of primary SharePoint point of contact when interacting with the NOC MASS team and NGA’s SharePoint team.

• Act as the primary spokesperson when interacting with other NGA teams on behalf of the NOC’s Technical Executive.

• Develop solutions for SharePoint 2013

• Design, develop, and document SharePoint solutions, which may include client-side applications (using SharePoint Client-Side Object Model), features, content types, and other SharePoint constructs, by using Microsoft Visual Studio and other tools, for deployment on SharePoint Server

• Deploy technical solutions in support of task requirements and strategic objectives and understand technology requirements.

• Analyze business requirements, assess alternative solutions, design, develop, and implement application system solutions using Microsoft SharePoint or other systems

• Work with a graphics designer to adapt a consistent look and feel

• Responsible for designing, customizing, and testing workflows and test menus and interfaces

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and 15+ years of experience

• 10+ years of experience developing custom web applications

• Experience with:

• SharePoint Web Services

• SharePoint Site Structure

• DOD 8570 compliant within 6 months of hire

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to pass a CI poly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• SharePoint experience at NGA, particularly related to the NOC is a plus

• Must be well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels, and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications

• Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks

• Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment

• Must be able to speak effectively before groups of internal and/or external customers or employees
