Responsibilities Position Overview: The Fleet and Transportation Supervisor will supports our private fleet operations domiciled in Springfield, OH. The Fleet supervisor will support the Manager and driver team at the site. The Fleet Supervisor will be responsible for assigning work to drivers and other direct reports, approving payroll for all hourly employees, and maintaining positive relationships with both drivers, customers and vendors. Accountabilities: Must obtain UST Class C certification and monitor UST Compliance This individual will review and approve all purchase orders created by the admin team Will support the preparation and review of driver bids Supervise and provide resources for drivers on safety and technology Manage performance and administer progressive disciplinary as appropriate Ensure departmental compliance with all company policies Assist all appropriate parties in the recruitment, training, coaching, and career development of all of our admins and drivers Review CSA scores and counsel on performance as appropriate Oversee the maintenance and availability of all records relative to shipment Bill of Lading/Proof of Delivery documents, freight billing, freight payment, vehicle registration & licensing, and payroll Manage the electronic log compliance for all assigned drivers Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or relevant managerial experience (minimum of 5 years) 5-8 years transportation or logistics related work experience required Certified Transportation Professional designation, or similar trade certifications preferred
