QPS Employment Group QC Lab Technician in Springfield, Missouri

Hours: Varies between 6am-6:30pm

QPS Employment Group is hiring a QC Lab Technician for a company in Marshfield, MO. This position works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for monitoring and adjusting the production process to ensure customer product specifications and company quality standards are met. This is an associate to hire opportunity.

QC Lab Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Monitor the production process; accurately test and interpret raw materials and work-in process for adherence to customer specifications and company quality standards; and promptly inform production of any adjustments needed - Analyze final products with all required tests for product approval and perform various in process laboratory tests - Ensure proper aseptic sample methods for microbiological samples - Test production environment to ensure sterile conditions - Calibrate lab instruments and equipment to specified standards and ensure lab cleanliness according to GMP or GLP as required - Organize and maintain all required paperwork and documentation - Interface with other departments to address and resolve production/lab problems and to improve methods, processes, and specifications - Maintain a clean supply of glassware to perform all required testing - Monitor inventory levels of lab supplies and inform person responsible for ordering - All other duties as required

QC Lab Technician Requirements: - Bachelors Degree in a scientific field or at least 6 months of experience in a laboratory environment - Ability to read, write, and speak English - Ability to read and comprehend documents such as standard operating procedures, equipment manuals, and blend formulas - Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from colleagues, other departments, and occasionally auditors - Ability to interpret testing results and follow SOP document for appropriate action - Ability to operate a variety of lab equipment and instruments and a variety of office equipment - Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO compliance requirements - Skilled in Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel, as well as database programs - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as rate, ratio, percents, and volume using metric equivalents
