Job Title: Manufacturing Operater

Job Description:

The Manufacturing Operations Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the manufacturing environment, including assembly, material handling, inventory control, procurement, and equipment maintenance. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Manufacturing Operations Specialist will be cross-trained to handle multiple aspects of the production process, ensuring that quality and efficiency are maintained throughout.

**Hours Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30 PM

** Pay $15/HR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repetitive and standardized disassembly, assembly, and machining operations on various parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, including Torque Converters and Transfer Cases.

  • Set up and operate manufacturing machines, including CNC, drill presses, lathes, welders, grit blasters, and balancing equipment.

  • Use precision measuring equipment to ensure customer specifications are met; inspect and tag defective parts for quality disposition.

  • Maintain core inventory, receive and count inbound shipments, and organize shipments according to pick lists.

  • Perform inventory control tasks, including pulling products using FIFO methods, completing system transactions, reconciling material returns, and conducting weekly cycle counts.

  • Prepare and process outbound shipments, monitor loading of shipments onto carriers, and manage purchasing processes for raw materials and supplies.

  • Perform periodic maintenance of equipment, troubleshoot issues, and repair machinery to minimize downtime.

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, while maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.

  • Comply with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing experience and data entry.

  • Experience in material handling, inventory control, and procurement.

  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook).

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs., and work in an environment with exposure to temperature variances, noise, dust, and fumes.

  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of skilled trades, such as electrical, CNC equipment, carpentry, or welding.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to new tasks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Forklift operator’s license and experience.

  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 and/or ISO 14001 standards.

  • Experience with quality management systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Certification in industry-accepted standards.

  • Welding experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Good attendance is required to ensure success in this role.

  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe safety shoes, and hearing protection in designated areas.

Pay Details: $15.00 per hour
