[Job Shop Machinist Job Responsibilities:]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

• Able to read and understand machine drawings and have working knowledge of symbols for fit, finish and tolerance.
• Able to set up and operate manual mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and all other related machinery.
• Ability to read micrometers, Vernier scales, dial indicators, and all other related hand tools of the trade.
• Ability to understand inch and metric measuring systems as well as a mechanical aptitude and knowledge of math, basic triangles, and circle geometry.
• Ability to recognize industrial machine operational issues.
• Ability to use/operate power tools, equipment and supplies utilized in precision machining operations including but not limited to lathes, milling machines, shapers and grinders as well as forklift and overhead crane.
• Capable of problem solving.
• Must have ability to withstand prolonged standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to lift above shoulder height.
• Must be able to work from a ladder when required.
• Must be able to tolerate work area that is not air-condition controlled.
• Safety sensitive position, momentary loss of judgement could cause serious injury or death

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a machine job shop
