Aerotek Machine Operator in Springfield, Massachusetts

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Candidate will be working running and maintaining an automated machine. They will be unloading and loading the machine with raw materials and setting up the machine. They will then inspect finished product before sending them to the next work station. Routine maintenance is required including oil changes and coolant changes.

Responsibilities

  • Run and maintain an automated screw machine.

  • Load and unload the machine with raw materials.

  • Set up the machine for production.

  • Inspect finished products before sending them to the next work station.

  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes and coolant changes.

  • Sweep, clean, mop, pack, unpack, and move raw materials as needed.

  • Remove finished products from bins and perform oil and other fluid changes to the machine.

  • Monitor the machine while the primary operator is on break.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with oil changes and basic machine maintenance.

  • Ability to operate and maintain various machines.

  • Skilled in using hand tools and performing minor maintenance.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to complete a math and mechanical aptitude test.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong attention to detail for product inspection.

  • Ability to follow directions from a lead machine operator.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
