UAT AND PILOT TEST OPERATIONS

 

Required Experience

  • 10+ Years of experience across Test Management, Project Management, Business Analysis

  • In depth knowledge of Software Delivery methods (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative, SAFe)

  • Successes with implementing or enabling Test Driven Development approach

  • Knowledge of software test engineering processes

  • Experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques, and tools (Traditional, Risk Based)

  • People skills (Ability to foster collaborative relationships, negotiating, diplomacy and advocacy skills)

  • Milestone planning and management skills

  • Knowledge of industry testing tools (Quality Center, JIRA, or similar)

  • Knowledge of Automation solutions

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics   

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with the ability to create daily dashboards and necessary reporting

  • Experience with Azure 

General Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes

  • Accountable for creation and execution of business requirements, test plans, scripts cross-functional assessments

  • Elevate defects and issues to Management and test leads for concurrence

  • Must be able assist in analysis of issues and work with the Project Technology group in deciphering impact of the issues

  • Must be able to analyze defect and compare with requirements to identify gaps

  • Participate in production validation activities to ensure migration of code to production environment is done accurately

  • Must be able to quickly analyze whether migration was success and identify production-related issues

  • Provide operational support in the form of researching, developing and communicating solutions by effectively gathering, compiling and reviewing information and data, evaluating existing systems and procedures, identifying alternate courses of actions, developing tools and/or improvements

  • Participate in project activities including prioritizing, developing schedules, preparing plans, process and procedure documentation, and effectively resolving issues as they arise.

  • Communicate regularly with other UAT PMs, QA Leads, Project Managers, Development Managers and QA Core members.

  • Communicate status to management and stakeholders as necessary through summary reports.

  • Testing leadership roles contribute heavily to client engagement, candidate will need a level of customer facing demand. 

  • Required to have the ability to be self-directed.  

Specific Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and structure for effectively participating in user acceptance, parallel, and pilot test activities to Product Managers/Product Owners.

  • Azure is the cloud platform being used in the project. 

  • Testing in a cloud environment is required due the potential instructive component of the role. 

  • Provide guidance concerning validation of user stories and test scripts/cases to allow UAT leadership, Product Manager/Owners to effectively measure and verify the developed software represents the approved requirements and to accurately ascertain and verify the system is at an acceptable state of operation for the purpose of implementation of the system to the designated personnel.

  • Work collaboratively with customer and stakeholder resources along with DDI teams to define test environment requirements.

  • Work collaboratively Product Managers/ Owners and the DDI vendor to define and refine (as needed) the bug (an error in the software that causes it to malfunction) and defect (a defect is a flaw in a product that reduces its usability or value) severity scale.

  • Work with Product Managers/ Owners to adhere to best practices in user acceptance, parallel, and pilot testing to effectively execute testing activities:

  • Provide guidance to testing participants to facilitate their understanding of project scope and work with Product Managers/Owners and the DDI vendor to identify testing scope.

  • Define, create, and deliver testing-related reporting at intervals determined in collaboration with Product Managers/Owners and the DDI vendor to demonstrate that accurate results and data are collected, including the process being tested; that actions that must be taken for tests are properly documented for purpose of DDI payment and compliance with Federal oversight bodies. while ensuring contractual obligations of the DDI vendor are achieved.

  • Provide designated   Product Managers/Product Owners and any additional personnel identified by State leaders with guidance for determining validity of test data.

  • Work with   Product Managers/Product Owners to identify testing participants from State personnel who are role proficient and can author test scripts/cases as needed that represent complete test coverage of the approved requirements, execute the test scripts/cases, gather appropriate testing artifacts during testing, and record test results and catalog artifacts properly to support testing is completed.

  • Work with Product Managers/Owners and the DDI vendor to collaboratively determine that test scripts address testing scenarios selected for release-based testing for sufficient test coverage, i.e., that scripts are detailed and specify procedures, expected results, and conditions a tester may need to verify and provide additional notation and artifacts to support Product Managers/Owners recording the results properly to persist requirements traceability end to end.

  • Provide confirmation, once the testing is done and bugs (an error in the software that causes it to malfunction) and defects (a defect is a flaw in a product that reduces its usability or value).are mitigated and/or resolved to the client’s satisfaction, and that a sign-off confirmation of acceptance(with or without bugs and/or defects that are correctly cataloged and sufficiently mitigated) is properly authored, delivered for signatures, and finally archived/catalogued to indicate that the delivered functionality (and/or mitigated requirements/toolsets/business process agreements) meets business requirements.
