This position serves as a Senior Accessibility Analyst performing complex professional and advisory functions in the Accessible Technology Compliance unit within the Bureau of Technology Management supporting the Department of Human Services (DHS). In this role you will serve as lead technical analyst working with lower-level staff and users to assess requirements and identify products to meet requirements that are appropriate to agency and state data processing environments, technical direction and in compliance with IITAA specifications. In addition, you will develop position papers relative to products researched and develop and/or provide specialized training on IITAA compliant products evaluated and selected for implementation. As a senioranalyst, you will establish and maintain a close working relationship with users, members, and management of the Department of Information Technology (DoIT), as well as management throughout the Agencies.

Essential Functions
  • Under administrative direction, serves as a Senior Accessibility Analyst for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Department of Human Services (DHS), performing complex professional and advisory functions in the Accessible Technology Compliance Unit within the Bureau of Technology Management.
  • Serves as lead technical analyst working with lower-level staff and users to assess requirements and identify products to meet requirements appropriate to agency and state data processing environments, technical direction, and in compliance with IITAA specifications.
  • Develops position papers relative to products researched.
  • Develops and/or provides specialized training on IITAA compliant products evaluated and selected for implementation.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
