The Office of Corporation Counsel is seeking an attorney to assist in code enforcement and proceedings related to collections, demolitions and foreclosures. Also will be responsible for full case preparation including trial and motion practice in administrative, state and federal courts. Requires knowledge of local ordinances, state and federal laws and established precedents; thorough knowledge of court procedures and rules of evidence; and skill in preparing and trying cases. This position also involves legal research and providing advice to City departments on a variety of legal issues, including due process and state law compliance. Requires the ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relations with government officials, attorneys and other professionals, law enforcement and the general public.
