Job Purpose/Summary:

This position leads the Executive Rewards function for Tyson Foods and is a key member of the Total Rewards function, ensuring the company\'s executive compensation programs are appropriate for the needs of the organization, competitive and compliant. Under the general guidance of the Executive Rewards and Financial Benefits Leader, the responsibilities for this position are to develop, implement and analyze programs for executives and other top key positions. This includes long-term and short-term incentive plans, executive benefit plans and perquisites, and financial and tax treatment of compensation programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Play a key role in strategic planning and design for executive rewards program development, utilizing internal or external consulting resources as appropriate, to manage costs and ensure all elements of rewards (base salary, annual incentive, long-term incentives, benefits, and perquisites) are appropriately balanced and competitive relative to the needs of the company and patterns within the industry.
  • Collaborate as a people and thought leader enterprise-wide to develop and activate the executive team member value proposition, total rewards strategy, talent strategy and business strategy.
  • Manage the job evaluation and job offer process for officer-level roles throughout the company, partnering with Compensation, People Operations, and strategic HR partners to gather the appropriate information and process in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding the impact of current and pending regulatory, legislative, and reporting and disclosure requirements relative to executive rewards, partnering with internal and external expert resources as necessary.
  • Serve as escalation contact for Executives and internal partners on technical executive compensation matters.
  • At the direction of senior management and in collaboration with the Executive Rewards and Financial Benefits Leader, prepare materials for use by the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee of the Board.
  • Lead and direct, in partnership with internal resources and outside vendors, the creation and distribution of communications related to Executive Team Member total rewards to drive program engagement and effectiveness.
  • Develop various analyses and presentations for Company leadership relative to competitiveness and design of all elements of Executive Team Member total rewards.
  • Handle escalated inquiries to provide clear resolution and minimize risks.
  • Lead audits and administer internal controls of executive rewards programs in conjunction with internal and external partners.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the Equity Compensation function in connection with the long-term stock incentive plan.
  • Partner with the Law Department in the preparation of the annual proxy statement, SEC filings, and other disclosures required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Lead and direct the design and strategy of executive and non-executive severance pay programs, partnering with People Operations and Strategic Human Resources partners to ensure effective administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

EDUCATION: Bachelor\'s degree required. Equivalent work experience to be considered in lieu of higher education

EXPERIENCE: 7+ years of compensation or related experience. 3 to 5 years of progressive executive compensation/rewards consulting experience (external consultant experience a plus) strongly preferred. Project management experience a plu but not required. Benefits- or compensation-related professional certification a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Requires standard computer skills, to include Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of Workday strongly preferred.
