Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Petro-Chemical Voice Data Industrial Technician that is TWIC card certified in League City, Texas to join a company that specializes in the installation and maintenance of communication systems, including conduit duct banks, copper and fiber network infrastructure, and devices in industrial environments such as petro-chemical facilities, refineries, and power sites. The Voice Data Industrial Technician will work to complete all phases of the projects installation, from conception to end. The individual must have strong industry knowledge of best practices and installation standards consistent with the manufactures specifications within a petro-chemical facility. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, pulling, and labeling Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A copper and fiber optic cables, as well as installing support structures such as J-hooks, support rings, cable slings, and cable trays/ladder racks. You will work in an industrial plant environment, requiring familiarity with EIA/TIA standards and exposure to closet dressing, termination of closet equipment, and multi-pair color code terminations. The position demands termination experience with multi-pair standard cable and proficiency in both basic and high-level testing and documentation. Additionally, you should be able to read blueprints, identify cable paths, and have some experience with site surveys. A strong understanding of all field safety requirements and the use and function of all required personal protective equipment is essential.

Skills and Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working experience as an Industrial Technician utilizing Voice Data (VD).

• 1+ years of experience working in a petro-chemical plant

-Must have a TWIC card already active

-Ability to identify, pull, and label Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A copper and fiber optic cables with an ability to read blueprints to identify cable paths.

-Background in termination of equipment and knowledge around best safety practices.

-Must be able to pass a background and hair drug test.

-Must have great communication and team player mentality. -Rigid Conduit Experience

-Perm Range: $45,000- $65,000 null
