HP Inc. Senior Director, Strategic Contract Manufacturing in Spring, Texas

Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for directing multiple subordinate managers and high-level individual contributors, providing procurement leadership throughout the sourcing process within the Laser Jet/Ink Jet Printer and Toner Worldwide business area, with a focus on Contract Manufacturing. Collaborating with stakeholders at the executive level, the role drives multi-year procurement strategies, strategic procurement assessment, management, and improvement across various products, systems, and services. The role establishes strategic procurement program initiatives, allocates financial and human resources, and ensures the effective delivery of supply chain programs. The role leads the planning, design, implementation, and communication of procurement and logistics initiatives for the business area.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and ongoing strategic leadership for a team of multiple subordinate managers and high-level individual contributors driving strategic procurement assessment, management, and improvement solutions within the business area, focusing on Contract Manufacturing.

  • Sets overall program initiatives, manages, and allocates financial and human capital for programs and projects within the business area, ensuring timely and effective delivery of supply chain programs.

  • Develops and leads planning, design, implementation, communication, and delivery of the company's procurement and/or logistics initiatives across the business area.

  • Provides procurement leadership for all phases of the sourcing process within the business area; leads change on procurement initiatives that have an enterprise impact.

  • Develops strategies to provide the highest quality at the lowest negotiated cost to the business units within the business area.

  • Actively partners with and influences internal and external stakeholders and/or suppliers at the executive level on a regular basis within the business area; leads objective and effective contract negotiations in collaboration with key internal stakeholders and the legal department.

  • Drives multi-year strategies and initiatives at the regional/global/business group level within the business area by exercising governance oversight in one or more areas (e.g., key policy decisions, resolution of high-impact issues, etc.).

  • Manages and develops the talent in the procurement organization within the business area, and advises on organization design.

  • Performs the responsibilities of performance management, talent management, and succession planning within the business area, ensuring that the appropriate tools and processes are in place to support the team.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 15+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
