HP Inc. Principal, DPA Business Planner in Spring, Texas

The successful candidate will work across all the Digital Process and Automation team (DPA) to drive the rhythm of the team through their keen interest and ability to coordinate. This role will report to the VP of the DPA organization and ensure that the leader is effectively enabled to represent the work of the team in all forums through your excellent communication skills and eye for detail. The role will partner with peer organizations within D&TO, Functions and Business units to scale Digital Process and Automation transformation across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines and builds the go-forward roadmap for the team, highlighting the key focus areas, defining the team operating model, and accelerating the transformation of additional value chains.

  • Create an effective teamwork environment through close collaboration and alignment across staff members and the chief of staff network.

  • Drive the DPA communication framework, story setting, and storytelling. Help the DPA organization align to common priorities and positioning within D&TO. Lead the executive communication of the DPA leader.

  • Efficiently set and lead staff operations. Always striving for a planned and structured execution of calendar and cadence, materials preparation, and stakeholder coordination.

  • Facilitate the priority setting and reporting processes for the team across people, process, and financial process aspects.

  • Structures analytical approaches and develops project strategies and tactics.

  • Develops recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance ensuring accomplishments of team's OKRs.

  • Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise which includes developing new methods, techniques, and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.

  • Facilitates regular follow-ups on strategic planning and DPA Book of Work to foster collaboration and ensure accountability.

  • Impacts large functions and leads large, cross-team projects.

  • Provides highly innovative solutions to complex problems within established policy.

Capabilities and Qualifications

  • Expert in cross-functional responsibilities that are characterized by collaboration across boundaries, simplifying the complex, and driving towards tangible, high quality outcomes, preferably accumulated across a variety of prior roles and assignments.

  • Strong business acumen to be able to partner with the leadership team to make proposals on organizational priorities. Serves as a thought partner, planning partner and execution partner for the DPA leader, while working across the staff to align, challenge, and invent approaches that help the team succeed.

  • Strong work ethic, results-oriented with demonstrated personal leadership to coordinate individuals and groups towards an outcome through the creation of well-organized and efficient work structures with exceptional goal clarity.

  • Exceptional communication skills, and high proficiency in developing clear, succinct, and compelling content for executive-level presentations and communications.

  • Self-starting, strategic thinker and thought leader with a mindset of innovation and intellectual curiosity, combines various perspectives and approaches in creative way.

  • A collaborative leader with a high degree of emotional intelligence who inspires, manages, coaches and respects people. Able to work in ambiguous environments by bringing in leadership and working towards aligned directions.

  • Resilient with a high level of personal integrity, energy, and growth mindset. Demonstrates tenacity and perseverance. Works through obstacles in a determined manner whilst keeping an eye on the big picture.

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus.

  • 10+ years of work experience, preferably in strategic management, strategic planning and implementation, consulting, market research, or a related field.
