HP Inc. People Insights Partner in Spring, Texas
HP is revolutionizing the way our customers experience and use our products and the way HP is doing business. As part of this effort, HP is seeking an experienced and innovative Data Analyst to join the People Insights team within the People Organization. The Data Analyst will be a subject matter expert (SME), adept at navigating our human resources and workforce data to inform critical business questions. The ideal candidate will be skilled in applying the People Insights toolkit to provide actionable insights to the organization. This role will have an emphasis on providing designated support to our People Organization, to support the development of innovative solutions using our tech stack. Your contributions will inform our broader people strategy, and ultimately support employees to do their best work to drive the long-term success of HP.
Responsibilities:
Leads the People Insights' partner engagement and analytics processes for the Global Recruiting and Onboarding (COE) function
Create timely, data-driven insights that drive action and allow for data-informed business recommendations
Define HR-related research initiative objectives, based on business questions, develop plans to address objectives, execute appropriate analysis, develop insights and implications, and leverage storytelling to communicate to HR and business leadership
Create and distribute standard and custom reports, dashboards, and analytics
Consult with COE representatives to define solutions requirements and support design, prototyping, and testing efforts
Proactively identify and propose opportunities to address via scalable analytic solutions
Support People Organization data harmonization and management efforts
Work closely with partner organizations to deliver insights through fit-for-purpose self-service dashboards and reports
Partner closely with platform and solutions peers within People Insights to request and create necessary data pipelines for analysis
Work closely with COEs and business HR to implement optimized technology solutions that maximize COE goals and strategy, in alignment with the broader People Organization and People Insights strategy
Contribute to, and support, an environment that fosters data-informed decision-making within the organization
Drive leadership practices of communication, inclusiveness, and responsive policies supporting our digital transformation
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree plus 6-10 years of experience in data analytics
Degree in human resources, business, social science, computer science, data science, or related discipline preferred
Demonstrated experience supporting report and dashboard design and creation and business process improvement
Prior experience supporting Staffing, Recruiting, and Talent Acquisition organizations preferred
Familiarity with HRIS/HRMS (e.g. Workday) preferred
Knowledge business intelligence/visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI or Tableau) required
Advanced Excel skills required (e.g. Pivots, Lookups, etc.)
SQL and Python proficiency highly desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities, including developed expertise in data analysis and basic interpretation
Deep understanding of HR practices and data
Possess strong business acumen
Ability to apply statistical modelling approaches to solve HR challenges
Exhibit sound judgment and discretion regarding the handling of confidential information
Solid project management skills including keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, working with multiple stakeholders, to ensure the delivery of reliable and timely results
Excellent organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and ability to navigate and manage competing priorities in a complex and rapidly evolving environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in leveraging consultation and visualization to influence and drive decision-making
