Mechanic/Mechanic Helper (Bot Mechanic)

$25-$27 an hour

Job Description

Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production. Performs scheduled maintenance service and repairs of production equipment and machines. Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs. Performs job duties utilizing sound mechanic skills, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production systems and equipment. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Documents tasks performed as required on work orders, PMs, work logs, or otherwise required. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Mechanical ability

• Experience in mechanical

• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders

• At least 2 years of experience in food, beverage, or other comparable packaging and production equipment and machines

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical school training preferred but not required

• Welding experience is strongly preferred

Why Work Here?

Willing to take lower level mechanics and will train. Good foot in the door into manufacturing with not a lot of experience. Plenty of overtime available. Good benefits package.

Work Environment

Large manufacturing facility of bread. They have roughly 150 employees. The environment is very hot inside and not climate controlled. Must wear steel-toed boots. Will work throughout the entire facility wherever production equipment goes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BALTIMORE, Maryland.
