Sociology Instructor - Adjunct - Spokane Fall Community College Community Colleges of Spokane Location: Spokane Falls Main Campus Spokane Department: SFCC Social Sciences Open Continuous. Starting salary for this adjunct position is: $40.83 - $86.87 per hour based on workload category. This is an adjunct (part-time) position. Compensation will be pro-rated according to the amount of workload assigned. Spokane Colleges reserves the right to cancel this recruitment without notice. About Us The Social Sciences department housed in the Humanities and Social Sciences division at Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) is seeking a Part-Time Adjunct Sociology Instructor. About the Sociology Instructor - Adjunct - Spokane Fall Community College CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepares for and instructs lower-division sociology courses online, on-ground, or in other flexible modalities • Provides availability and accessibility to students for the purpose of academic consulting and support, in a manner appropriate to meet students' needs, through a combination of office hours, email accessibility, or other effective means of responsive and timely communication • Communicates expectations and establishes clear grading criteria through appropriate instructional means, to include but not limited to developing course syllabi, handouts, and materials supporting the instructional process; evaluates student progress and provides clear, timely feedback. • Demonstrates commitment to advancing diversity, promoting equity, and preparing students to live responsibly in an increasingly global civilization. • Demonstrates commitment to serving a socially and culturally diverse student population. • Complies with state and federal law applicable to professional duties and responsibilities; follows established procedures in areas such as printing, turning
