About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial operations, oversee a dynamic accounting team, and support strategic initiatives. This role is critical to maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate reporting to drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, budget reports, forecasts, variance analyses, and quarterly payroll reports

• Manage daily departmental operations, including cash management

• Oversee the accounting system, fiscal records, bank reconciliations, investment pool accounts, and payroll documentation

• Partner with the Chief Financial and Operating Officer to develop the annual budget

• Coordinate annual audits, prepare audited financial statements, IRS Form 990, charitable trust returns, and related filings

• Lead trust administration for 21 charitable remainder trusts

• Collaborate with Grants and Gift Planning teams on fund administration, including gift processing, grant distributions, and reporting

• Maintain and manage the general ledger

• Train, assign tasks, evaluate, and support accounting staff

• Assist with day-to-day operations and special projects as part of the Core Team

SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $100,000

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes

• Experience with trust administration and fund management is preferred

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
