Overview

The Spring Engineering Co-op Program is a paid internship experience located in Spencer, Indiana. We offer a 16-week rotation with assignments in Manufacturing Engineering and Post-Market Engineering . This position includes a housing stipend, 401(k), fitness center access, learning events, capstone presentation, and more. All C o - o p positions are assigned a direct mentor and each position provide s real-world experience with meaningful projects in the medical device manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Engineering C o -O ps may be involved in projects in the following areas: Process Improvement ; Test Method Validation ; Production ; Continuous Improvement ; Process Technology ; Manufacturing Transfer ; Supplier ; Sustaining; Engineering Test Lab; Sustaining Materials; Quality Engineering ; Quality Data Analytics; Research and Development

• Utilize engineering knowledge to p roduce project deliverables / documents

• Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements

• Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth

• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization

• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards

• Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision

• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

Qualifications

• College or University Junior or Senior preferred working towards a b achelor’s d egree in Engineering (Graduate students also considered)

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• M ust provide proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university

Physical Requirements:

• On-site and hybrid positions that w ork under general office environmental conditions

• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.

• Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat and gloves may be required in some areas associated with this position

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA.
