Position Highlights

Advance your nursing career! Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

Job Summary:

  • The Resource Nurse assumes responsibility for providing appropriate staffing and patient assignments

  • The Resource Nurse provides direction of hospital operation in the absence of the Department Managers and Administrators on scheduled shifts

Job Requirements:

  • IA RN license, BLS, and ACLS are required

  • Minimum of 3 years RN inpatient experience required

  • Critical Care experience preferred

  • Leadership experience preferred

  • Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems

Job Schedule:

  • 60 hours per pay period (full-time benefit eligible)

  • 12 hr day/night shifts

  • Every other weekend or every third based on staffing

  • Holiday rotation

  • The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
