The Configuration Management Engineer will manage the Engineering Change Process. This will include planning and coordinating change cut-in dates and readiness across multiple disciplines and departments to insure smooth process changes along with minimizing stock obsolescence.

YOUR IMPACT:

· Reviewing changes to software and hardware configurations.

· Developing and maintaining configuration management plans, policies, procedures, and tools.

· Coordinating all design changes to ensure the appropriate team members are assigned to review all process and component changes.

· Tracking and controlling changes to hardware and software throughout the Vehicle life cycle.

· Developing and implementing processes for configuration management.

· Developing and maintaining communication reporting for change cut-in effectivity dates.

· Creating and maintaining documentation for tools used to support configuration management.

· Monitoring and coordinating all configuration management processes with the appropriate cross functional groups of the organization, including, Engineering, Materials, Purchasing, Production and EHS.

· Providing user support and troubleshooting issues with relevant configuration management software.

· Experience with BOM configuration and review.

· Understanding and use of ERP systems to verify inventory levels, obsolescence and cost, part demand, point of use locations, and MES system verifications.

· Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.

· Internship experience or 6-plus months related work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrated experience building relationships with internal and external customers.

· Knowledge of PTC Windchill or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools

· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.

· Proficient in 3D CAD tools and Simulation tools (CATIA, AutoCAD, Process Simulate)

· Experience with ProPlanner or related line balancing software packages.

· Experience in material flow, logistics, or warehousing.

· Understanding of various packaging methods or experience working with purchase part packaging.

· Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

· Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment manufacturing.
