**[SUMMARY [The Building and Grounds Associate is an integral member of the Facilities Team. Through direction from the Building and Grounds Superintendent, the Building and Grounds Associate supports everyday operations by maintaining the interior and exterior of Contec's facilities located in the Spartanburg, SC (South Carolina) area. Primary responsibilities will be to perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on facilities safety and environmental protection systems, utilities, building equipment and infrastructure. This position will work with the maintenance personnel, contractors, and their employees to ensure that Contecs facilities, utilities and grounds are regularly maintained and kept in good working order to project a safe, clean, and professional appearance.

• Performs Preventative Maintenance inspections on Facilities support equipment and systems through adherence to PM Program.
• Regularly inspects buildings and grounds for appearance, cleanliness, and security.
• Basic repair and maintenance of buildings, plumbing, painting, floor repair and heating and air conditioning systems.
• Detects and reports issues, concerns, or observations to BandG Superintendent.
• Performs and documents all required inspections and assigned maintenance, and maintains records as required.
• Assists Technicians with maintenance and repair of facilities equipment and mechanical systems for malfunctions.
• Assures that tools and ancillary maintenance equipment are kept in working order through periodic inspection.
• Remediates any ice or snow accumulation on walkways, paths, or parking lots.
• Performs daily monitoring of the building automation system (SCADA) for a proactive stance on equipment malfunctions and overview of performance of the facilities.
• Participates and works within ISO 9001 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contecs quality goals.
