Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Spartanburg, South Carolina

Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team, in Spartanburg. The role involves the careful execution of tasks related to invoice processing, account reconciliation, and other related duties.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain accounts payable records diligently and accurately

• Ensure precise invoice processing and payment to suppliers

• Check invoice requests, INF bills, and expense reports for accuracy and proper approvals

• Efficiently key in invoices into ERP systems for payment

• Perform three-way outline match of purchases made using purchase orders, which includes matching online purchase orders with receiving records and supplier invoices

• Check sales tax calculations and self-accrue taxes as needed

• Handle supplier inquiries and calls professionally and promptly

• Collaborate with purchasing managers for approvals and problem resolution

• Prepare and print weekly check run, reconcile and mail checks to vendors

• Close out months in accordance with accounting calendar, performing proper cut-off procedures based on receiving and service dates

• Prepare accruals for invoices received after system cut-off

• Review unmatched purchase receipts each month and write-off as needed

• Ensure correct accounts are maintained.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently

• Knowledge of Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with large ERP is desirable

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country.
