Sierra Nevada Corporation IT Project Manager II in Sparks, Nevada

As an IT Project Manager II, you are responsible for managing many projects and tasks in varying IT areas such as business application development, application support, systems administration, network administration, and others. You will need to have a strong understanding of IT practices and terminology in order to be knowledgeable enough to understand when to raise questions in order to correctly steer the project to completion. You will need to be bright, imaginative, and a capable technologist with strong communication skills specifically seeking an environment where you will impact the direction of the organization, and be a key contributor to the overall success of the business. The pace is exceptionally fast at SNC, and our dynamic environment will see many new projects in the coming year. The IT Project Manager will need to be agile and flexible, as changes will be certain and frequent.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with Typically 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Current Six Sigma Green or Black certification preferred (or, must be willing to immediately take steps to attain)

Preferred:

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Current PMP and Scrum Master certifications.

  • Knowledge of Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Experience with program management processes, standards & certification

Estimated Starting Salary: $105K – $144K

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
