The Product Owner will serve a critical role to bridge the gap between business users and agile development teams. Product Owners work closely with software developers, project managers and our business users to write user stories, manage the product backlog, perform release planning, and escalate issues as necessary. They must have an excellent understanding of the business needs that they represent, the technology on which they’re building and ensure a great end-user experience.

Candidates must have strong communication, documentation, and facilitation skills, with a proven record of leading complex projects with multiple business partners. Strong project management and Agile skills are required with proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and exceeding adoption targets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the release process for a digital project

  • Collect and incorporate customer feedback into platform capabilities and roadmap priorities

  • Work with cross functional team to create and validate User Interface designs and wireframes

  • Work with business project managers to translate customer needs into a backlog of user stories for software engineers and accept these user stories as they are completed

  • Act as the voice of the project with data analysts, business team, ISC, IT, senior leadership, and development teams

  • Run QA process to sign-off new features, bugs, and data security development

    The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle

  • Familiarity with software used for project management

  • Excellent time management skills

  • 2+ years of experience in software Product/Business Analyst role

  • 3+ years of experience in customer experience design, product development and/or Software Development

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to adapt communication style based on the audience

  • Experience leading and documenting recurring project status meetings

    Our preferred requirements:

  • Experience communicating with external clients

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams & Planner

  • Experience with JIRA

  • Familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance processes and standards(NIST, ISO 270001)

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXI, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85k to $100k based on current experience.
