OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Production Floater who will be responsible for assisting in various production tasks, operating machinery, performing quality checks, and ensuring the smooth flow of production processes. Your ability to quickly learn and adapt to different roles, as well as your attention to detail, will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our manufacturing operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform a variety of production tasks, including operating machinery, assembling components, and packaging finished products

  • Assist in the setup and preparation of production equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols

  • Follow established production procedures and guidelines to ensure quality standards and efficiency

  • Conduct quality checks on products and materials to identify any defects or deviations from specifications

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, tools, and materials

  • Assist in material handling and inventory management, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and resolve any production-related issues

  • Cross-train in different production roles and areas to provide support and fill in as needed

  • Comply with all safety regulations and practices to maintain a safe working environment

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, suggest ideas, and contribute to the overall success of the production department

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not required

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different production tasks and roles

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate machinery and assemble products

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and production documentation

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors

  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods

  • Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed

  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following established safety protocols

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
