Carnival Cruise Line Service Desk Advisor 9 month FTC in Southampton, United Kingdom

Job Description

Aim for a future in technology with a role tailored for aspiring professionals. This Service Desk Advisor position at Carnival UK offers a unique blend of learning, growth, and hands-on experience in the heart of our technology department. This role is classified as CUK13 and is available on a full-time 9 month FTC basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

Requirements: What You Need to Succeed

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Experience of working multi discipline, medium sized skilled IT Service Desk or service orientated role

  • Must demonstrate ability to deliver outstanding service in a busy environment.

  • Good understanding of Active Directory, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, Collaboration tools such as Zoom and Box, and a basic understanding of the Windows Operating System

  • Incident, Problem and Request Fulfilment disciplines

  • Ability to document processes and carry out administration functions.

The Role:

  • Identifies potential threats to the confidentiality, integrity or availability of the system. Determines when security issues should be escalated to a higher level, to enhance resilience to unauthorised access.

  • To diagnose faults and service requests referring to 2nd and 3rd line support teams where necessary to resolve incidents.

  • Receive, log, resolve or escalate IT incidents using ITSM system, following agreed procedures.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all CUK IT incidents and service requests.
