WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the Lead, Accounting Operations Trading Company for NIKE Trading Company B.V. Singapore Branch and NIKE Global Trading B.V. Singapore Branch (collectively known as “Trading Company”), you will be responsible for operations accounting activities in the global buy sell operations, primarily in the areas of inventory and intercompany space. You will also be expected to support project initiatives, drive process improvements and documentation across the operations accounting function and manage period-end closing activities which cut across different SAP systems R/3 and S4.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be partnering with the cross-functional stakeholders in the strategic initiatives and supporting Trading Company business and controlling requirements, to enable optimization of global supply chain flow, to perform health checks in VAT reportings or to manage new/changes in processes arising from business initiatives with strong internal control governance and process documentation. You will also be overseeing the SAP system testing on operations accounting E2E buy-sell related activities covering Inventory and Intercompany for global project/business initiatives, define relevant test scenarios and validate results within the set timeline and provide inputs for informed decision on user acceptance.

Furthermore, you will also drive understanding and consistency around Transfer Pricing, and intercompany oncharges to uphold Trading Company business model integrity and ensure data integrity recorded in the legal entity books and end-to-end process simplification and improvements, leveraging on automation covering Intercompany, Inventory space.

In addition, you will also help manage period-end closing activities in Inventory and Intercompany space, including managing our Managed Service Provider to ensure timely and accurate close for different legal entity books in SAP R/3 and S4. You will also be maintaining Trading Company transfer pricing markup in SAP and ensuring the markups trending are reasonable and performing month-end reviews and analysis. Where there are exceptions, ensure proper resolution of exceptions with financial impact assessment.

You will also support internal and external audits in compliance with US GAAP, local statutory, integrated compliance controls and indirect tax controls and compliance.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will engage and partner with a diverse group of stakeholders in Trading Company as well as across the globe, both financially and non-financially trained.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • At least 6 years of accounting experience with 4 years of direct relevant experience in large MNCs with Supply Chain Operations Accounting covering processes, controls and legal entity reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, preferably with a Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Good Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX is necessary. Demonstrate good operational insights to ensure reporting compliance for Inventory, Intercompany Cross-charges.

  • Hands-on experiences with SAP S4/HANA.

  • Demonstrated SAP S4/HANA implementation experiences that cut across go-live readiness, implementation, stabilization, and transition to operations.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into operationalization with considerations for financial risks and controls across end-to-end processes.

  • Ability to collaborate and partner effectively with multi-cultural business partners and cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrate good communication and influencing skills on complex accounting requirements.

  • Good documentation skills with proficiency in Powerpoint and Visio.

  • Proven track record of working independently, leading and prioritizing against multiple priorities, while delivering results with high quality.

  • Ability to exercise a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
