Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the isolation, differentiation, and culture of sensitive primary human and mouse immune and cancer cells, MLR (mixed lymphocyte reaction) or variants thereof, mouse and human T cell activation, suppression and proliferation assays, assays, CRISPR knockout in primary mouse and human immune cells, cytokine analysis via immunoblotting, MSD, and Luminex, signaling reporter assay, etc.

  • Perform protein and cell-based assays to support multiple early therapeutic programs.

  • Responsible for ideating and developing new experimental assays and taking the leading role in adopting and implementing new technologies to address current and future program needs.

  • Employ technical expertise in immunology and oncology research to perform and develop in vitro/ ex-vivo assays.

  • Responsible for the design and implementation of high parameter mouse and human tumor immune flow cytometry panels (25+ antibodies).

  • Utilize experience analyzing and interpreting data high parameter, and flow cytometry data. \

  • Responsible for designing and executing studies within short timelines to help

  • achieve milestone decisions, understanding project goals and modifying experimental plans to respond.

  • Develop and deliver scientific reports (e.g. oral presentations, poster presentations, written reports, etc.) and prepare concise summaries of the data to present to the project team.

  • Partner with colleagues outside the IO organization to develop cutting edge technologies that will lead to the discovery of novel therapeutic targets and therapies.

  • Evaluate emerging scientific literature and participate in scientific meetings.

  • Stay current with and adopt new technologies.

Qualifications

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Biology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, or a highly related field of study plus 5 years of related experience.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Biology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, or a highly related field of study plus 1 year of related experience.

Each alternative with at least 1 year of experience in the following:

  • isolating, differentiating, and culturing sensitive primary human and mouse immune and cancer cells, MLR (mixed lymphocyte reaction) or variants thereof, mouse and human T cell activation, suppression and proliferation assays, assays, CRISPR knockout in primary mouse and human immune cells, cytokine analysis via immunoblotting, MSD, and Luminex, signaling reporter assay, etc.;

  • performing protein and cell-based assays to support multiple early therapeutic programs;

  • analyzing and interpreting data high parameter, and flow cytometry data; &

  • developing and delivering scientific reports (e.g. oral presentations, poster presentations, written reports, etc.) and preparing concise summaries of the data to present to the project team.

Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience related to the job opportunity.

Salary Range: $138,496.94 - $153,000.00 per year.
