Job Description: Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their Full-Time Engagement Program. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate execution of payroll operations in accordance with national regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and privacy.
Liaise with the HR department to confirm staff hires, terminations, promotions, and ensure updates and adjustments to pay are accurate.
Interpret and implement payroll related legislations and company policies.
Resolve employee inquiries related to pay and provide excellent customer service.
Maintain accurate and updated employee payroll records, including timesheets, taxes, and other deductions.
Assist in payroll audits and implement corrections as necessary.
Produce reports for the finance department on a regular basis.
Stay updated with latest trends in payroll processing and technology.
Contribute to improving payroll procedures to increase efficiency and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Prior experience in payroll or a similar role.
Proficiency in payroll software.
Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
